The first-ever, fully deaf marimba band in the world is trained by Education Africa, and they had the opportunity to perform on stage with the legendary Ladysmith Black Mambazo on 31 August. Goosebumps stuff!! The marimba band from Dominican School for the Deaf in Hammanskraal was joined on stage by another Education Africa marimba band from Reiger Park, and together they accompanied the Grammy Award winners as they performed one of their greatest hits, “Homeless”, at a concert to celebrate women and people with disabilities.
