This week Education Africa’s 5 new Early Childhood Development (ECD) trainers start teaching our student intake of over 130 in a certified SAQA NQF Level 4 programme over the next 18 months! Irene, Yolandi, Mogeshnie and Debbie as part of our partnership with Afrika Tikkun will be utilising their centres to teach in Braamfontein, Orange Farm, Protea Glen, Alexandra and Diepsloot. Nicita will be starting with a new student intake at our training centre run out of Boys & Girls Club Protea Glen Soweto.
Some of the Afrika Tikkun and Education Africa teams got together in a team-building exercise and together we will be Making real change Happen, as demonstrated in the fantastic artwork done by each team below.
Our ECD Train the Trainer programme is a three-year initiative that aims to increase the number of qualified ECD caregivers in South Africa while creating a foundation for lifelong learning for young children.
Each graduate who completes the Train the Trainer course will receive a National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 4 accreditation from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) in Early Childhood Development.
Good luck to our Education Africa team and trainers!
PS. Each caregiver can impact over 1000 children within their career. With 25 caregivers a year in 5 Education Africa training centres, that’s 125 000 children!
